One Columbus Place | New York

On the day of this shoot, I was mentally preparing myself for a rainstorm that was suppose to happen as I arrive to this Columbus Circle apartment. Luckily, the majority of the morning was mostly gray and I had shot most of the interiors by the time the heavy rain clouds came rolling into the city. Diana had installed a pair of beautiful CB2 pendant lamps in the master bedroom and it was the perfect kind of day for us to turn them on for the shoot.

These photos were also taken with a new lens I gifted myself over the holidays (or as I like to call it more, an "investment") - the Canon TS-E24mm f/3.5L II. To me, the beauty of this lens is that it slows down my work pace. The lens mimics the movements of a large-format camera, which is another reason why I'm a fan of it. I am way less trigger-happy on my dslr and although setting up a shot takes a bit longer, the photos come out better and the way I intended it to look. This baby is worth every pretty penny.
